Commonly asked questions

The questions operators actually ask before a discovery call - segmented by where you are in the decision. Straight answers on scope, ownership, risk, and what production really takes.

What we build

We're an implementation studio, not a software license. We take one operational workflow off your team's plate - the copying between systems, the exception handling, the re-keying - and build it live on the systems you already pay for. You get a working workflow your team runs every day, a playbook to operate it, and a plain-English record of what it does and saves. All in your environment, all owned by you.

No. We connect to the finance, customer, and operations systems you already run - NetSuite, SAP, Salesforce, Dynamics, Zendesk, ServiceNow, HubSpot, and others. No rip-and-replace. If you already bought a platform, we build on top of it. If you're starting from zero, we build on whatever you choose. Your tools stay.

Every engagement is scoped to your business - same path, your pace: understand, design and build, launch in stages, prove. The scoping session gives you an honest read on effort within 24 hours. We don't quote fixed timelines before we've seen your systems and workflow, because real work doesn't fit a generic calendar. 42% of companies abandoned most of their agent initiatives, and the average organization scrapped 46% of proofs of concept before production (S&P Global, 2025) - usually because timelines were promised before the work was understood.

One agreed number per workflow - no usage meter, no rate card, no platform license from us. It starts with a free scoping session and a written 2-page proposal within 24 hours. Workflow Deploy is paid in stages as milestones are met (30/40/30). The ongoing Operate service is monthly and cancels on 30 days' notice. You pay for results, not seats.

You get a fit read, a recommended engagement, and a 2-page proposal with scope, tier, and price within 24 hours - no obligation to proceed. If it's a fit, we schedule the build. If it's not, we tell you honestly. The call maps your workflow, the systems it touches, and what production-ready looks like for your team.

How it works

We build the connections a demo never had - into your finance, claims, support, and operations systems via APIs, connectors, and standard protocols. Your permissions are respected and every action is logged, in your own environment. We work with the ERPs, CRMs, and ticketing platforms you already pay for, so the workflow fits inside your existing processes without replacing systems.

Real systems have gaps - missing endpoints, rate limits, legacy auth, half-documented internal tools. We map those collisions during the scoping session and build around them: connectors that bridge what the API exposes to what the workflow actually needs, fallback paths for edge cases, and human gates where the system can't safely complete a step on its own. The parts others gloss over are the parts we scope before any contract.

Each workflow is designed as a connected sequence - not isolated calls. State, prior decisions, and intermediate results are carried through the workflow in your environment, with a versioned production record that tracks what happened at each step. Your team can see what the workflow did, why, and what it's waiting on - without calling us.

What runs on its own vs. what waits for a person is agreed and signed before launch - not decided in the moment. Your people approve anything important, nothing irreversible happens without a human, and there's always a rehearsed way to undo. The escalation rules are part of your production record, so your team can review them.

Tested pass/fail on your real cases before launch - historical tickets, claims, invoices, or approvals become the test set. We run an eval harness against your actual work, not a demo script. When the underlying tools change, your workflow is re-tested against your own cases within 48 hours and you get a written pass/fail. If it doesn't pass your cases, it doesn't go fully live.

Evidence & control

Your people. Nothing irreversible happens without a human, and what runs on its own vs. what waits for approval is agreed and signed before launch. The approval gates are part of the architecture - enforced in code, not a policy document someone might forget. Your team reviews the gates before go-live, and they're recorded in your production record.

Every action the workflow takes - what it did, when, what it touched, and what it decided. Access, logging, and human gates are enforced in the architecture, not bolted on. Logs live in your environment, readable by your team. We map controls to what your engagement requires - as evidence packs your team can use. Controls in scope are agreed per engagement, not claimed site-wide.

Yes. Your existing permissions are respected - we don't bypass your access controls, we work within them. Role-based restrictions, segregation of duties, and least-privilege access are part of the design - mapped to the specific controls your engagement requires. What each role can see and do is documented in your production record.

Your workflow is re-tested against your own cases within 48 hours of any major change - and you get a written pass/fail. Upgrading is a test run, not a rebuild. If the new model breaks something, we catch it before your team does. This is a default guarantee in every engagement, not an add-on.

In your systems, under your accounts, not ours. The workflow runs in your environment. The production record lives in your Git or S3. Your data is processed through your own cloud accounts at provider list price - we never see your bill and never mark it up. If you stop working with us, everything stays where it is - it was always yours.

Pricing & process

The scoping session is free - one hour on your workflow and systems, with a written 2-page proposal within 24 hours. After that, every engagement is fixed-scope with one agreed price. We don't do open-ended trials because real work needs real integration, and that's not something a trial window captures.

No. Falnor is an implementation studio - not a SaaS seat license or agent marketplace. You keep your cloud, your models, and your existing platforms. We deliver one live workflow, a playbook to run it, and a production record in your repo. All owned by you.

A plain-English, versioned record of what your workflow does, how it was tested, and what was agreed - acceptance criteria, eval results, economics, and rollout stages. It lives in your Git or S3, not on Falnor infrastructure. Finance, ops, and engineering share the same signed artifact. If you leave us, it leaves with you.

You do - directly, through your own accounts, at provider list price, with no markup from us. That's deliberate: your finance team sees the real running cost on your own bill, our one agreed price never hides a meter, and you're never locked to our vendor relationships.

Your production record already maps your systems, permissions, and what was agreed - so the second workflow starts from there instead of from zero. Each workflow makes the next one faster. Optional Operate covers re-testing on updates, running records for your team, and scoping the next workflow when you're ready.

Getting started

One named workflow, a business owner for it, a way to connect to the relevant systems, and a 30-minute discovery call. For the scoping session, bring your systems list (ERP, CRM, ticketing, observability), examples of the manual work, and who signs off production - finance, security, or ops.

Yes. Starting fresh is a normal entry path. Name one workflow that consumes most of your team's time and has a clear owner - we design, build, and launch it on the systems you already use. No prior build, pilot, or platform required.

That's Production Rescue: a short engagement that takes an existing build through testing, launch, and final approval - eval gaps, integration fragility, missing economics, or no signed criteria. We harden what you have, rerun evals on your real cases, and close the path to production sign-off. A discovery call determines fit.

Your workflow keeps running - it lives in your systems, under your accounts, not ours. Your team holds the playbook (and has rehearsed the rollback), the record verifies without any Falnor system, and the full handover pack is a contractual obligation, not a courtesy. We built the engagement to survive us on purpose - it's the same machinery that lets you fire us.

Book a 30-minute discovery call on our contact page. Tell us which workflow is stuck, what you've tried, and what production-ready looks like for your team. We'll map it to a path - Workflow Deploy, Production Rescue, or a scoping session - and you leave with a clear next step. No obligation to proceed.
